Crip Magic - Disability in artistic practice
Are you an artist or cultural worker with a disability or are you interested in contemporary art on the topic of disability art? Then you are invited to join the Disability Arts Meet Up and learn more about this art form.
The Meet Up starts with a keynote by Petra Kuppers. Petra Kuppers is a Disability Arts activist, artist and professor of English, Women's Studies, Theater and Dance, Art and Design at the University of Michigan. In her keynote, she will speak about queer / crip approaches in her artistic work and about moments of coming together in art that confront an often inhospitable environment. She calls these moments Crip Magic. We will also meet two artists from Berlin, who investigate disability creatively within their work. Finally, we will use the digital platform to exchange and network in small groups.
